While Namibian vehicle sales in H113 remained steady at 7,174 units (growing by about 1.0% y-o-y), the subsequent strikes in neighbouring South Africa have taken a toll on the local market. Sales in August 2013 declined 5.4% month-on-month (m-o-m) and 0.4% y-o-y, to 1,510 units. This brought auto sales for the first eight months of the year to 10,680 units, according to The Namibian.
