However, Slovakia still remains the eurozone’s second-poorest state and faces similar problems as the rest of the bloc such as budget cuts, tax increases and declines in economic confidence. In 2012, passenger car production in Slovakia increased 40.7%, to some 900,000 units. In 2013, we forecast production in this segment to increase 8.1%, to 972,900 units.
