Hello susan rogen
Controversial author Robert Phillips is starring FutureComms15 - the PR and comms event which is being held at The Crystal, London.
"[The word] "content" is being used, like social media, to disguise the end of a disrupted sector", Robert Phillips says. The paperback version of his book - Trust Me, PR Is Dead - will be released the same day as the event, on Thursday 18th June.
What?
Futurecomms15, supported by CIPR (Chartered Institute of Public Relations), is one of Europe's biggest PR & comms event of the year. It takes place in London on 18th June. Last year, over 200 comms professionals from Europe and the United States gathered together to learn & network.
Over 20 top speakers from the world of PR, comms and content marketing will share their insights on current topics at the event. Amongst them is public relations moderniser and author of “Brand Vandals”, Stephen Waddington:
Contrary to Robert Phillips’ beliefs, Waddington argues: “Spin is dead and publicity may be dying but public relations, as a means of engagement between an organisation and its publics, is thriving”.
Key topics for FutureComms15 include the exploration of brand storytelling at the expense of SEO, a discussion around the divide between content and public relations and a look into the growth of native advertising. Others areas include:
- Content Marketing Institute's Robert Rose: The Brand Storytelling Opportunity for PR
- Author & ex CEO of Edelman, Robert Phillips: Trust Me, PR is Dead
- Telefonica's Head of Media, Shivvy Jervis: Video Series on Future Tech: A case study
- Comedian David Schneider: Is the Internet Making Us More Stupider?
