Escalating violence in Syria remains the key risk to the autos sector in the Levant region. At the time of writing, no decision had been made on Western intervention, but the potential for a spill over into neighbouring markets is still a very real threat. For the time being, however, Jordan and Lebanon have more market specific concerns impacting the industry outlook for our forecast period.
